Kimochis

Through engaging and interactive activities, children expand their emotional vocabulary and explore different ways to communicate, including tone of voice, verbal expression, and body language. They develop the ability to manage their emotions in a positive way, while also learning how to express themselves, assert their needs, and support their peers during moments of emotional challenge.

These sessions create opportunities for children to identify and articulate their feelings while strengthening their ability to navigate social interactions with empathy and confidence. The activities encourage collaboration and self-awareness in a playful and engaging manner.

Kimochis workshops also promote non-violent communication by helping children:

  • Treat others with kindness and respect
  • Understand how words and actions influence emotions
  • Reflect on and resolve situations where someone may have been unintentionally hurt
  • Use peaceful strategies to prevent and manage conflicts
  • Respond appropriately when witnessing teasing, provocation, or bullying

These workshops provide a fun and supportive space for children to build essential social-emotional skills that will benefit them throughout their lives.

This program is designed for students in Reception, Year 1, and Year 2.
